Top Picks Overall

We've looked at all the most popular destinations and we picked our top rated ships with the best values for those destinations. We then locked-in some great prices for you to plan your vacation cruises. Our top picks are given below. These rates are already great now but we also track prices for you. If you reserve now and prices go down before final payment we will get you the lower price. The actual trend today is for prices to go up as the sailing date approaches for popular cruises during high demand periods like the summer and holidays. If prices go up you've already locked in the lower price. By booking early you lock in these low prices and you get you pick of cabin location and sailing date. You take no price risk with GalaxSea Cruises exclusive price tracking service!

Last Minute Cruise Specials

Great News - Celebrity has added two 700 passenger luxury cruise ships to their fleet and now calls this Azamara Cruises. Great intimate ship additions to the top rated Premium Class cruiseline! We call this category "Deluxe Cruises" - luxury small ship cruising at half-price.

Azamara Journey and Quest offers the following itineraries:

Please note, the sections below have general recommendations and approximate prices. Please check with us for the latest prices and special offers. Remember, we track prices for you after you make a reservation and in today's economic environment, lower prices later are a real possibility on many sailings. We get you the lower price later but you get to pick a great cabin now and keep it. This can be worth a lot more than a $200 on board credit offered by some.

Alaska

Celebrity has the Infinity and Millennium in Alaska. Infinity mostly does 7-night cruises roundtrip from Seattle and Millennium offers 7-night cruises one-way between Vancouver and Seward (itinerary for cruise and land tour combinations). Celebrity Mercury does 7-night cruises roundtrip from Vancouver. Celebrity is our top rated premium class ships for adults. Our top rated ships for families are Royal Caribbean's new Radiance and Serenade of the Seas doing both roundtrip Vancouver (Serenade) & one-way 7-night sailings(Radiance). Our top rated luxury line is Regent's Seven Seas Mariner. All these featured, top rated products offer the best Alaska cruises and the best values in their class. Summit, Radiance of the Seas and some Infinity cruises stop at the new port of call, Icy Strait.

Canada/New England

Canada/New England is a lovely destination. The fall colors are very popular and several ships try and offer cruises to Canada & New England in the September/October timeframe each year. ONe of our favorite and top rated cruises is on Celebrity Summit roudntrip from Cape Liberty, New Jersey overlooking the Statue of Liberty - near Newark Airport and New York City. These cruises are typically 14-nights and ports of call include Newport, R.I. (former summer home location for the weathiest in the U.S.), Boston with all its history, Portland, ME, Bar Harbor, ME (a delightful village right on the coast with great Lobster bakes and access to beautiful Arcadia National Park), a beatiful small city and gorgeous countryside can be found in Hallifax, Nova Scotia, and our favorite stop is Quebec City - the only walled city in North America. Quebec usually has 2 days there as there is so much to see. The ship docks right below the old town and the world famous Fairmont Hotel Le Chateau Frontenac. Some sailings also visit the lovely Prince Edward Islands.

Transatlantic Top Picks

Every year as ships transition from the winter ports of call to Europe there are spring time Eastbound transatlantic cruises and in the fall they return with westbound transatlantics. Cunard's Queen Mary 2 offers almost weekly transatlantic crossings continuously from April to October. Our favorite repositioning transatlantics are on RCCL, Celebrity and Azamara - each offer the best value in their class. These cruises always offer great rates on a per day basis and are great for those that want to cross in luxurious comfort and love lots of sea days.

Luxury Cruises

Regent Seven Seas is our #1 rated cruise line and we feel the best value in cruising. Conde Nast Traveler readers agree and voted Regent the World's Best Small-ship Cruise Line for 2003. The new 6-star Regent Seven Seas Voyager and her twin the Mariner are our top rated ships within Regent's fleet and also overall. This new luxury class ship is the same size as Crystal Harmony & Symphony but holds only 700 pampered guests (300 fewer than Crystal). She has open seating and four 5-star restaurants to chose from, and every cabin is at least 301 square feet and has a private balcony.

Regent Seven Seas Voyager is a slightly improved identical twin of the Mariner with larger cabins at a minimum of 356 sq. ft. Regent Seven Seas is the fastest rising star of cruising because they offers the best new ships, the top service, and excellent restaurant quality food at prices well below Crystal or Silversea. That is true value!

Regent Seven Seas Navigator is a smaller version of the Mariner/Voyager that holds only 490 guests. She is our #2 ship overall. The minimum cabin on Navigator & Voyager is 356 square feet - a suite on almost all other cruise lines including Crystal.

All Regent ships offer open seating dining. Prices include gratuities, soft drinks, bottled water, great wines with meals and a complementary bar setup in your cabin at embarkation. These included features could easily cost you $400 per person per week.

General Comments & Recommendations

Europe & Mediterranean

For European and Mediterranean cruises our favorite ships are Celebrity's Constellation & Millennium, Royal Caribbean's Brilliance of the Seas, Jewel of the Seas and Regent Seven Seas Voyager (luxury). For more details about Europe cruises visit our Europe on-line brochure. Itineraries to the Eastern Mediterranean may be reduced until risk levels subside while Turkey & Egypt have been removed from many itineraries for safety concerns. Northern Europe, Scandinavia/Russia, Norwegian Fjords and Western Mediterranean cruises will be offered.

Alaska

Our favorite cruise lines to Alaska are Royal Caribbean (families & younger adults), Celebrity (premium class) and Regent (luxury class). For more details about Alaska cruises visit our detailed Alaska page.

Exotic Destinations

World Cruises are the ultimate exotic cruises. These cruises are typically about 100 nights and they circle the globe. There are several to choose from. Our favorite is Regent Seven Seas Voyager (all cabins have balconies and are 356 sq. ft. suites). Another great choice is Crystal's Serenity or possibly Holland America's older intimate Prinsendam. Please note World Cruises are sold in segments so you can take shorter parts of a World Cruise which is the only way to cruise to many exotic ports in the world as they are visited only once every few years. For more details about World Cruises please see our Exotic cruises.
