GalaxSea Cruises & Tours of San Diego

Mexico Cruises

Cabo San Lucas is one of our favorite Mexico ports. There are beach sports, beauty, Senor Frog, and the Gigling Marlin, where the Marlins hold you up upside down for your photo and much more. All 7-day cruises stop here. Most cruise also stop in Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta where Night of the Iguana was filmed near beautiful La Jolla De Mismaloya.

The longer cruises add the "it" city of the 50s and 60s, Acapulco, and sometimes the quaint village of Zihuatenejo.

Royal Caribbean:

Royal Caribbean's 5-star Radiance of the Seas and the Mariner of the Seas go to Mexico from San Diego and Los Angeles. These two ships are the clear class of the ships offered for this destination. Radiance os one of the Captain's personal favorite and Mariner of the Seas has more to do onbaord than any ship going to Mexico. Families love the Mariner's Royal Promenade, Ice Skating Rink, & Rock Climbing Wall (on all RCCL ships). We love the Viking Crown lounge with 360 degree views and the Windjammer restaurant which provides incredible 180 degree views while dining. Radiance of the Seas does 10 and 11-night cruises roundtrip San Diego and calls on Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, Acapulco, Ixtapa, Manzanillo (11-nt) and Puerto Vallarta.

Holland America

Oosterdam & Zaandam for 7 and 10/11 & 14-day Mexican Riviera cruise roundtrip from San Diego. Oosterdam & Zaandam are newer Holland America ships with a more contemporary design - some (includes us) prefer the older HAL ships with their old world charm with wood, brass and more European feel.

Carnival:

The Spirit and Splendor are Carnival "Fun Ships" to Mexico. These are the party ships for those looking for that type of atmosphere. We rate these ships below all the other choices in terms of food, service, ship decor, etc. They are tops for party atomosphere. For clients looking for better food, service, and a more upscale atmosphere, then Royal Caribbean, Princess or Holland America are better choices. Carnival sails year-round however.
