GalaxSea Cruises & Tours of San Diego

Mexico Cruises

Cabo San Lucas is one of our favorite Mexico ports. There are beach sports, beauty, Senor Frog, and the Gigling Marlin, where the Marlins hold you up upside down for your photo and much more. All 7-day cruises stop here. Most cruise also stop in Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta where Night of the Iguana was filmed near beautiful La Jolla De Mismaloya.

The longer cruises add the "it" city of the 50s and 60s, Acapulco, and sometimes the quaint village of Zihuatenejo.

Royal Caribbean:

Royal Caribbean's Mariner of the Seas does 7-night cruises roundtrip Los Angeles. Families love the Mariner's Royal Promenade, Ice Skating Rink, & Rock Climbing Wall (on all RCCL ships). We love the Viking Crown lounge with 360 degree views and the Windjammer restaurant which provides incredible 180 degree views while dining. Unfortunately Mariner will only be available until Janaury 9, 2011, then Royal Caribbean will have no ships doing the Mexican Riviera. Hurry - this is the last chance for the best premium ship to Mexico.

Holland America

Oosterdam & Zaandam for 7 and 10/11 & 14-day Mexican Riviera cruise roundtrip from San Diego. Oosterdam & Zaandam are newer Holland America ships with a more contemporary design - some (includes us) prefer the older HAL ships with their old world charm with wood, brass and more European feel.

Carnival:

The Spirit and Splendor are Carnival "Fun Ships" to Mexico. These are the party ships for those looking for that type of atmosphere. We rate these ships below all the other choices in terms of food, service, ship decor, etc. They are tops for party atomosphere. For clients looking for better food, service, and a more upscale atmosphere, then Royal Caribbean, Princess or Holland America are better choices. Carnival sails year-round however.

Disney Cruise Lines - starting in Janaury 2011 the Disney Wonder will offer 7-nt Mexican Riviera cruises roundtrip from Los Angeles in the fall and winter. For Disney fans or people with children or grandchildren that love Disney characters, this is a great new and convenient opportunity for West Coast residents.

Azamara Club Cruises - Azamara Jounery, a 700 passenger deluxe ship, has two 11-night cruises to the Sea of Cortez roundtrip San Diego on Janaury 8th and 19th, 2011. Free balcony upgrade for price of an oceanview cabin - only $2599 per person. This is an unusual itienrary and the ships, food & service are great - highly recommended!

Panama Canal Cruises - these cruises are usually 14-nights and include the top Mexico ports of call but on some of the nicest ships afloat. This is a better way to see Mexico as you get to see some the unspoiled towns like Huatulco and you get top premium class ships like Celebrity.
