The following text refers specifically to Voyager of the Seas but all the
Voyager Class ships, Voyager, Explorer , Adventure,Navigator & Mariner
of the Seas are very similar. The Freedom class ships that started caming
out in 2006 are also very similar just larger and with a Flow Rider as the
major new feature. Freedom class ships hold another 600 people approximately
and have more and slightly larger balcony cabins, plus slightly smaller inside
and oceanview cabins. We use Voyager to refer to the entire class which are
all wonderful choices for family or active adults that like lots and LOTS
of choices of things to do and don't mind sharing their large resorts with
other similar minded people. The ships are all gorgeous.
Voyager & Freedom-class ships are large and spans the length of three
football fields. Voyager's innovations include enhanced cabins, increased
dining options, and exceptional recreational facilities for the entire family.
Perhaps the most breathtaking of these innovations is the Royal Promenade.
More than the length of a football field and four decks high, the Royal Promenade
hosts a wide selection of shops,24-hour restaurants, a pub, and entertainment
fronting on a picturesque winding street.
Expanded dining choices aboard range from the spectacular three dining rooms
all inter-connected by a staircase. Among Voyager's extensive entertainment
options is the 1,350 seat La Scala Theater and the interactive theater and
concert venue, Studio B. The spacious recreational facilities boast an outdoor
sports deck (complete with golf course) and a National-size sports court for
basketball, paddleball and volleyball. Plus great facilities for the kids,
a Wedding Chapel and the Peak A Boo Bridge - the perfect vantage point for
watching your expert crew guide you to your destination.
Voyager & Freedom class ships offer cruises to the Caribbean, Europe,
Mexican Riviera from L.A. They don't offer cruises through the Panama Canal
becaue they are too big to get through the original canal locks. When Mariner
of the Seas moved to Los Angeles to offer the nicest year round Mexican Riviera
cruises on the market, she had to go around the continent of South America
just like Magellan and othr ancient explorers.
What's better than shopping? Having the mall go with you! Take a stroll down
the mall located on the royal promenade. Here you will find no ordinary gift
stores or such. You will find an amazing number of stores with food, clothes,
gifts to take home, and much much more including street entertainers and weekly
laser light shows and parades of character like you were in a certain famous
mouse's hometown parade.
Ever think you'd go on a cruise and end up on a game show? A lot of things
you never thought possible are possible in Studio B. That's where you'll find
rock concerts, games shows, fashion shows - almost any kind of show you can
imagine. And when there isn't a performance, the stage is converted to an
ice skating rink - the only ice skating rink at sea. Just strap on your skates
and take a spin. It's one of the COOLEST (sorry about that) places you'll
ever spend an afternoon at sea.
Voyager & Freedom class ships have gorgeous three story main dining rooms
offer fine dining amid unprecedented design innovation - three uniquely decorated
dining room levels sharing a striking crystal chandelier and connected by
a grand, sweeping staircase. For intimate continental dining, make a reservation
at Portofino. For great steaks and chops try the Chop'sd Grille. For more
casual fare, dig in to a burger or an old-fashioned malted at the 50's-Style
Diner - Johnny Rockets. And kids will love Sprinkles ice cream parlor. You
probably couldn't try all Voyager of the Seas' dining options if you tried.
She offers something to accommodate every taste.
Casino Royale - is one of the largest casino at sea - and tempts you with
everything from electronic slot machines and video poker to craps and roulette.
You'll feel like you've walked into a James Bond film as you start out on
a magical evening with lady luck. Then it's off to Spinners, our revolving
gaming arcade. Have a seat on the world's largest interactive roulette wheel
and join the game.
Need to take care of business? Voyager of the Seas offers the best equipped
conference center at sea, including electronic readerboards, satellite and
electronmic presentation capabilities, video teleconferencing, laptop stations
and more. And our Business Services Center offers private offices, fax machines,
copiers and PCs so you can take care of unfinished business and get back to
your vacation.
The main theater is a muti-story showcase. It may be tough to get tickets
at the famed La Scala theater in Milan, but on these ships, you're guaranteed
a seat at our homage to the great Italian opera house. Spanning five decks
and built to seat about 1,500 this spectacular theater is where you'll see
Broadway-style shows, concerts and cultural events that will rival those found
in the world's entertainment capitals.
While there is almost every activity known to man onboard, we haven't forgotten
the importance of that revered vacation art form - sunbathing. Like every
Royal Caribbean vessel, they offers an abundance of places to relax in the
open air, read, catch a brief nap or just watch people go by - more, And if
you have little ones in tow, you may opt for Adventure Beach, which provides
young sailors with an endless variety of aquatic activities to keep them occupied.
If you believe in taking good care of yourself, there's no better place than
the Ship Shape Spa and Fitness Center. More than 15,000 square feet of exercise
machines, free weights, and aerobics plus all the pampering of the largest,
best equipped spa at sea. Whether you want to "feel the burn" or soothe yourself
in the hot tub, the facilites are there and waiting for you.
Taking a swim, relaxing by the pool,
watching the scenary go by and just enjoying yourself in the sun. Voyager
& Freedom class ships gives you an opportunity to do all of these on our
amazing outside pool.
