Galveston, Texas is a great port for those families who want to cruise together but are on different sides of the country. Terminal 1 is used by Carnival Cruise Line and Terminal 2 is currently being used by Royal Caribbean. The new terminal, Terminal 3, created by Royal Caribbean Group will open on November 9, 2022, and will also be the World's First Zero-Energy Cruise Terminal. It will feature solar panels to offset the electricity usage, bicycle facilities, and electric charging stations for guests and crew to use. There will be mobile check-in and facial recognition for a faster check-in process. It is also rumored there will be a separate VIP entrance for suites and Diamond members.

There is a high demand for taxi cabs during peak debarkation hours. At times, taxis may not be readily available. Please be patient and prepared to wait as other taxi cabs return to the cruise terminals throughout the debarkation morning rush. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding

There is off-site parking with a complimentary shuttle service between that would save about $10 for a 7-day cruise.
Another option is to stay at a hotel with a cruise package with extra time to spend in Galveston and your shuttle ride is taken care of.
