Update: Celebrity Cruises Gratuities

If you have a Celebrity Cruises® sailing coming up, here's an update worth knowing about before you set sail.
Effective July 29, 2026, Celebrity is raising its automatic daily gratuities across all stateroom categories by $1.50 per person, per day. These charges are shared among the dining, bar, and culinary teams, stateroom attendants, and the many other crew members working behind the scenes to make your cruise memorable.
New Daily Rates (per person, per day)

What This Means for Your Wallet
The increase adds up over the course of a cruise. Here's what the total gratuity comes to per person, at the new rate, for common sailing lengths:

You Still Have a Choice
If you haven't sailed yet, you have two options:
Prepay now at the current (lower) rate. This locks in the old pricing before it changes and keeps one more expense off your onboard account.
Do nothing. Gratuities will simply be charged automatically to your onboard account each day at the new rate.
For most guests already booked, prepaying before the change fully takes effect is the simplest way to save a little money — and it means one less thing to think about once you're onboard.
