Planning a Celebrity cruise and trying to figure out if a drink package makes sense for you? Here's a clear, current breakdown of what's covered, what it costs, and what to watch for — so you can decide before you sail rather than get surprised at checkout.

The Three Packages

Celebrity keeps this simpler than most lines: three tiers, easy to compare.

Classic

Premium

Zero Proof

Per-drink cap

$12 ($14 UK/AUS)

$19 ($23 UK/AUS)

N/A — non-alcoholic

Wine bottle discount

15%

20%

Typical starting price*

~$65–$100/day

~$80–$125/day

~$45/day

*Prices are dynamic — they vary by ship, itinerary, and how far ahead you book. All prices are per person, per day, before Celebrity's mandatory 20% service charge.

Classic Package

Covers standard spirits, beer, wine, and cocktails up to $12 per serving.

  • Spirits: Tito's, Absolut, Smirnoff, New Amsterdam, Dewar's White Label, Famous Grouse, Jim Beam, Johnnie Walker Red, Monkey Shoulder, Seagram's VO

  • Beer: Budweiser, Bud Light, Coors Light, Corona, Heineken, Michelob Ultra, Moretti, Newcastle Brown Ale, Strongbow Cider

  • Liqueurs & Cognacs: Campari, Galliano, Hennessy VS, Kahlua, Licor 43, Southern Comfort, Tia Maria

  • Wine: A broad house selection from California, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Argentina, Chile, and Australia

  • Non-alcoholic: Specialty coffees, organic teas, sodas, juices, non-premium bottled water

Premium Package

Everything in Classic, plus top-shelf brands and a higher $19 cap.

  • Vodka: Grey Goose, Belvedere, Chopin, Ketel One, Cîroc

  • Whiskey: The Macallan, Woodford Reserve, Johnnie Walker Black, Maker's Mark, Chivas Regal 12, The Glenlivet

  • Gin: Hendrick's, Bombay Sapphire, Tanqueray, Plymouth

  • Rum: Zacapa 23, Bacardi 8 Años, Flor de Caña, Bumbu

  • Tequila: Patrón, Don Julio, Casamigos

  • Beer: Stella Artois, Guinness, Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA, Peroni, Sapporo

  • Non-alcoholic: Premium bottled water (Evian, San Pellegrino, Acqua Panna), Red Bull, fresh-squeezed juices and smoothies from the Spa Café

Zero Proof Package

Non-alcoholic only, roughly $45/day. Includes premium bottled water, specialty coffees, Red Bull, fresh juices, frozen smoothies, non-alcoholic cocktails, and Coca-Cola products.

Overage Rule (Applies to Both Alcoholic Packages)

If a drink costs more than your package cap, you're not charged full price — just the difference, plus 20% gratuity on that difference. A $19 martini on Classic, for example, adds about $9.40 to your account ($7 difference + 20% gratuity).

Gratuities — A Separate Line Item

As of 2026, Celebrity's All Included fare no longer bundles gratuities in. Current daily rates:

  • $18/person/day — Inside, Ocean View, and Veranda staterooms

  • $19/person/day — Concierge Class and AquaClass

  • $23/person/day — The Retreat

The mandatory 20% service charge applies broadly — beverages and drink packages, specialty dining, room service, and mini-bar purchases all carry it.

A La Carte Pricing (If You Skip the Package)

  • Beer: roughly $7–$14

  • Wine by the glass: roughly $9–$40 depending on the label

  • Cocktails: roughly $9–$22, with martinis and craft cocktails at the top end

What's Not Included, Regardless of Package

  • Mini-bar and room service

  • Beverages sold in gift shops

  • Drinks in souvenir glassware or with novelty add-ons (light-up ice cubes, etc.)

  • Anything above the per-drink cap (you pay the overage, not the full price)

A Few Booking Notes Worth Knowing

  • All guests of legal drinking age in the same stateroom must purchase the same alcoholic package — you can't mix Classic and Premium within a room.

  • Booking pre-cruise is consistently cheaper than buying onboard — often $10–$30/day less, based on recent sailings.

  • Guests in The Retreat receive the Premium package automatically.

  • Packages can be modified up to 48 hours before sailing and are refundable up to that point; once onboard, they're non-refundable.

Bottom Line

The math on whether a package is worth it comes down to your own habits — roughly 6 premium-priced drinks a day to break even on Premium, or 8 on Classic. If you mostly drink wine with dinner and the occasional cocktail, it's worth running your numbers against a specific sailing rather than assuming a flat daily average, since pricing varies more by ship and itinerary than people expect.

Want help figuring out which package fits how you actually drink on vacation, or want a quote for your specific ship and dates? Reach out — happy to run the numbers for you.

Quick tip: Celebrity regularly runs promotional pricing on drink packages during Black Friday and the holiday season, so even if you've already booked your cruise, it's worth waiting to purchase your package until one of those windows — the savings on the package itself can be significant compared to standard pre-cruise pricing. And if you've already purchased and the price drops afterward, you can cancel your existing package for a refund and rebook at the new, lower price — just make sure to do it before the cutoff for cancellations (currently up to 48 hours before sailing).
